Week of January 27-31

Our learning targets for this week:

Reading: I can identify the elements of a folktale.

Language Arts: I can understand and use adverbs in the context of reading, writing, and speaking.

Science: I can observe, record, and compare how the physical characteristics and behaviors of animals help them meet their basic needs such as fins help fish move and balance in the water.

Math: I can review for my upcoming Math CBA.

Week of January 6-10

Our learning targets for the week of January 6-10:

Reading: I can describe the differences between narrative and expository.

Writing: I can suggest/create ideas for an expository paragraph.

Math: I can use graphs to add and subtract.

Science: I can investigate and record some of the unique stages that insects undergo during their life cycle.

Grammar: I can understand and use contractions in the context of reading, writing, and speaking.
